What Are TADs?
TADs are small, biocompatible titanium screws placed in the jawbone through a minimally invasive, in‑office procedure. Once positioned, they serve as fixed anchor points—enabling the orthodontist to apply controlled forces without relying on other teeth for support. This skeletal anchorage can simplify tooth movement, reduce the need for bulky appliances like headgear, and sometimes eliminate the necessity for surgery.
